PROJECTS FOR END OF YEAR 2020 AND 2021
We are excited for the way we have been coming at the mission! As we shared in our Medical Update, we plan to build out a laboratory, build a small surgical theatre, and repurpose a current ladies dormitory to a Men's Ward at the clinic. This house pictured here was once the office to the Assistant Chief of this area. About a year ago, the government built the assistant chief his office on their own property, and we have fixed this house to be a small home for our laboratory technician. In addition, we plan to build a dormitory for ladies connecting to this building. This dormitory will be the same size and dimensions of the one we built in 2019.
In addition to the dormitory for ladies here, we plan to build a dormitory for men on the other side of the mission. We will also build out toilets and showers where there is already a pit dug.
We then need to finish building a new water tower, and add an additional tank for the compound. This will enable us to run water to all toilets, showers, and kitchens.
In addition to these projects, we are also sponsoring a "Widow's Project" which is building a widow a home. This widow is the mother to a pastor of B.A.L.L., and her home was destroyed due to community violence back in April of this year. Since her home was destroyed, she has been staying in a chicken house. It is our prayer that we can finish her home by Christmas!
Lastly, we are in need of a vehicle! We were blessed to have a vehicle offered for our use for the next month, but will need to pay for it to purchase it, or purchase another by the end of December.
Stand in agreement with us for these projects to be fully funded! We stand in faith, and KNOW God is faithful!
Together, we really DO make the difference!

PROJECTS IN 2020
We have a number of major construction projects that need to be completed in 2020. Under the Medical Centre heading, we addressed two of our most pressing needs – housing for our medical staff and the completion of the laboratory. We also need to finish our water storage project, mission kitchen and dormitories for our students
.
The housing project I mentioned in the Medical section we estimate to be around $12,000 USD; and the Laboratory Renovations we estimate to be around $6,000.00. This will provide adequate housing for our Clinic Officer and Registered Nurse; and construct a very modern laboratory for our clinic.
In addition to these, we need to build dormitories for our students – both nursing students and Bible students. We had built a facility for ladies but found that we will need to repurpose that facility for a men’s ward at the clinic. We have a great opportunity to build two structures, which would be identical to the one we build for ladies in 2018. They would be on opposite sides of the compound – one facility for ladies, one for men. Each of these facilities will cost us around $7,000.00 to build – and we desire to build two additional toilet and shower facilities as well. The total cost of this section of building will be around $16,000.00.
In addition to these projects, we would like to finish two major projects that we started in 2018. The first is the building of the second water storage tower. We had completed one side, put in the water tank, and it is functioning very well. However, with the new construction and added facilities, we are in need of the second tank. We estimate the cost of this construction to be about $4,000.00.
The other major project we started that needs completion is the Mission kitchen. We have yet to build additional storage, shelves, and counters; and install water and a sink. We estimate the cost of this completion to be about $3,500.00.
To finish our construction goals for 2020, we have a budget of $41,500 USD. This seems overwhelming to me at times, but I am reminded, God always gives provision for HIS vision!
We know we cannot accomplish these things alone. But together, we really DO make the difference.

PROJECTS - OCTOBER 2019
We are excited that the Mission Kitchen is nearly complete. We are just over halfway to our goal. The kitchen is now secure, with solid doors and window grids.
Our greatest need just now in projects is a vehicle. We have been without a vehicle since 2015, and God has been faithful to provide us with what was needed. However, as we continue to expand our ministry in Kenya and beyond, we need our own vehicle. Because of the terrain, we need a four-wheel drive. We would like a Toyota Diesel four-wheel drive – either a Surf (which is like a 4Runner in US) or a Prado. Vehicles in Kenya are very expensive. To purchase a good used vehicle will cost us around $30,000. Stand in agreement for this need to be met!
There are many projects that we are currently working on. As stated under the Health Centre section, we need to get the laboratory finished, and a new residence for our Clinic Officer. We have completed the Women’s Ward, but also need to re-purpose the current ladies dorm to a Men’s Ward, moving the Children’s Ward into where the Men’s Ward is now. We then need to prepare what is currently our Children’s Ward into a small surgical theatre.
Since we need to re-purpose the current ladies dorm, we need to build a new dorm for ladies, and one for the men as well. With all the expansion, we also need to add another tank for water on the mission.
Thank you for standing in agreement with us for every need met! Together, we really DO make the difference!

MORE CONSTRUCTION COMPLETED 2019 - MORE TO GO!
Since February we have completed a few more projects, including the building of a new water tower, re-doing the infrastructure for the water system at the mission, and began the building of a mission kitchen. You can see some of the pictures below of these renovations! We are so pleased that so much has been done!
As of the end of March, we have suspended all renovations and building. We are needing to raise the funds to finish the new kitchen and dining areas; as well as finances to complete the clinic projects. I mentioned an immediate $5,000 need. The power company did not bill us for power for six months, and when they did, the bill was well over $500.00! We borrowed some money to pay the billing, and now need to repay that loan. In addition, the costs of renovation that the Ministry of Health is requesting to keep us current will be around $2,500.00. To finish the kitchen, dining areas, and housing for our Community Health Male Students will be around $2,000.00. If you can help us in this situation, we would be most grateful! Click here to donate now!
The first thing we ask is that you PRAY FOR US! Pray Philippians 4:19, 2 Peter 1:3, Romans 8:32. We know God has provided all we need to accomplish His plan!
Secondly, obey God. It’s really that simple. If God says nothing more than the assurance these things are so, we are at peace! If God speaks to you to help us, obey God’s voice. As we each do what God speaks, things are done!
Thank you for standing with us! Together, we really DO make the difference

GUEST HOUSING COMPLETED; LADIES DORMITORY COMPLETED - FEBRUARY 2019
We are so pleased to announce that since our last update here, we have finished updating all our guest housing and built a dormitory for our female students! The pictures below show the end results of both the dorm and the guest house.
Now, we continue to press forward. Our next project starts on the 18th of February, the construction of a water tower, which will also serve as a laundry room for us, storage for the mission, and a safe place to hold water. We were given around $800.00 to begin this project, but anticiplate the cost to be around $2,500. We are starting by faith! God is faithful!
In addition to the Water Tower, we have three other MAJOR needs. In January, we received finances to fund the purchase of laboritory equipment for our Health Centre. However, we don't have a room for the laboratory! To that end, we need to build a home for our Clinic Officer and his family, freeing up space at the clinic for the laboratory and a conference room. The cost of building a new two bedroom unit is around $5,000.00.
Once the house is ready, we need to renovate the clinic again - creating a women's ward (costing around $800.00) and creating a laboratory and conference room, costing around $1,500.00. This will open our women's ward, giving us six to eight additional beds for our Medical Health Centre; and making our maternity ward solely for our mothers and infants!
In addition, we need to build a kitchen for our compound. Currently, the kitchen we use is falling down! It is unsafe to even use...but we continue to use it until we can get the new kitchen built. We have a great space, which is basically completed, for the kitchen. We need to add pillars, doors, replace roofing, add iron bars over the windows, and make a nice cement floor, three wood-burning cookers, and a serving counter. The cost of this renovation will be in the range of $2,500.00.
Will you stand in agreement with us for these infrastructure needs to be met? God never calls us to do something we can do alone - but together, we really DO make the difference!!

PHASE 1 OF HEALTH CENTRE RENOVATIONS COMPLETED
We are grateful the first stage of renovations for the Ematsayi B.A.L.L. Mission Health Centre have been completed, and a Dedication Service and open house was done the end of March! We are not finished - there is much to do!
Our next phase is to build a dormitory for our women students, so we can renovate what they have been using as a female ward for the clinic. Once the dorms have been completed, we can renovate the former ward into the Femal Ward for the Centre.
Thank you for keeping the Health Centre uplifted in your prayers! Together, we really DO make the difference!

WATER PROJECT
We are so excited to report that the full water project has been completed. In January we adjusted the solar panels to give us power to run our solar pump for longer hours. This really made the difference for the mission and the community. We have not had any shortage of water since the project was complete. In April, we were able to install a conversion switch so when there is no sun, we can switch to power. This month, we have applied for a separate electric meter so we can fill tanks when there is no solar power.
The next phase of this project we are hoping to start in August. We will be constructing a dual tank tower and install two 10,000 liter tanks. This will give us an additional tank to our supply line for the mission. We will then run new lines to the clinic, the police, the guest house, mission house, and the new kitchen for the mission. We are in faith to also run water to three toilets and showers on the property. Eventually, we may construct a kiosk where members of the community can come to collect water. Thank you for standing in faith with us!!

FENCE AND ENTRY PROJECT
The new gate and entry wall have been completed! We are so grateful to those who gave in memory of my dad towards this project.
Our next phase is to purchase posts and do a basic barbwire fence around the property. Stand in faith with us as we continue working in this direction!
